There are lots of reasons for using story tales in the infant classroom in English. First of all children love them, and this includes a motivation factor that we can’t ignore. Also, a story tale gives us possibilities and activities that we can use in our class in order to get some important goals. This year we have used short stories in the 3 year old classrooms. They were simple stories related to a topic, with repeated language patterns that make children able to play out the story and interact with the characters. “ Where is my baby?”. Mummy monster has lost her baby!. Where can he be? The police monster helps her to find the baby but, there are many babies at the police station. |
