| Last November, Y5 children worked on plant nutrition: respiration and photosynthesis.
One of things that surprised them the most was to find out that plants have two different vessels: the xylem vessels which transport raw sap and the phloem vessels which transport the elaborated sap to all the plant. Both saps never mix!!! Thanks to the experiment, they could see one of those vessels and how water traveled up to the leaves. |
