In November, we carried out an experiment about seed production.

We used several fruits and vegetables to see different types of seeds: a lemon, a pepper, a cucumber, a courgette, a tomato cherry, an apple and a banana. We worked in small groups, we followed the scientific method, brought the equipment needed, took notes and recorded data… WE WERE SCIENTISTS FOR A DAY!

Also, we observed if the seeds were arranged in a certain pattern inside the fruit or the veggie. Finally, we removed the seeds and counted them to discover if seed production is related to the size of the fruit. Do larger fruits tend to have more seeds than smaller fruits?  Do bananas have seeds? What do you think? Make an educated guess!
